Re: Salmon River

It hit 20,000 cfs....flood stage! Should be great fishing when it drops. I heard a fisherman died at Oswego when he got caught in high water.

Re: Salmon River

The river level right now is insane.
All the bridges in town are actually closed. Never saw water levels this high. The wall along the town pool actually collapsed! God only knows what the river will look like when the water recedes. I'm sure some new holes have been created. Fishing is finished for about a week.
Alot of guys are complaining about them not letting more water out of the res before this storm. The res has been full all summer, doesn't make sense.

Never Misses

Re: Salmon River

i was up there wed and thurs, did very well wednesday and thursday i fished from 1130 to 130 and it was amazing, i only landed a 25lb king but there was a point where i had 9 casts and 9 hookups. in that two hour period i hooked over 50 fish, thought i was going to landa steelhead but its tough doing it by yourself. by far i am so glad i decided to fish a few hours before heading home

i had 2 clients with me that decided not to fish, they were a little scared of the flow and all the rain. they encouraged me to fish if i felt comfortable in the flow. i cant turn down fishing.

i'll see how the water is next weekend when i am scheduled to go back
