just wanted to let you all know there is great fishing out west in places not usually talked about. I went to the owyhee in OR, s boise, big wood and silver in ID and the provo in UT. we had a blast and caught some huge trout all on dry flies, what a treat. the owyhee was the best by far. 1 out of every 3 or 4 fish were over 20" and avg was 16". the provo was nice but had the most fishermen. we caught a dozen in 4 hrs with several in the 15" - 17" range. the s boise was off because the lowered the water level by 1.5' a 2 days before we got there but still managed an 18" brownie and some 14' and 15' fish. the silver had tons of fish but there was no hatch and the big ones were not feeding, could of caught 100 fish under 10" if i wanted, i quit at 40. the big wood was a nice stream with only a few fishermen and we caught 15 in 2 hrs, 10" - 16".
