chernobyl ant

Tying a few up for my supervisor. I never tied them before, and they are pretty easy, but i keep thinking I am cutting the legs too short. Does this pattern have abnormally long legs in comparison to its body? Also when tying this pattern the legs keep wanting to come together, any tips on how to "keep em sep-er-ated" forgive my reference to the song, its friday and Im in a good mood.

Re: chernobyl ant

when i sinch the leg on they want to clump together and not spread out. I think the thread is riding on the foam and sinking in with the foam or the material is pushing the legs inward towards each other.

Re: chernobyl ant

I thought about tying the legs facing the rear of the body, basically tying the right and left at the same time. IF I were to fold them in half before tying them in, they should pop up and flow outward, but that would increase tying time significantly and I have about 70-80 to tie so I want to get them done right, but in a quick matter.
