Wife wanted to do an overnight sight seeing trip. I had a place in mind, got the sightseeing in on the 5th which left this A.M. for a last fling Cicada jaunt. Cicadas were over as far as I could tell, I found only one dead one along the road and none singing in the canopy. I was hoping that some still had a taste for them. I went with my orange pattern in a size 8.
Wife trying out her camera out on me a little later in the morning:
This brown still liked the looks of a Cicada.
Trout were not as agressive this trip, but still found quite a few that were willing to taste one last Cicada.
Along with the Cicadas being over for the season, the mountain laurel booms showed only a few remaining.
Unlike last trip which were all rainbows, 30% of them were browns.
Great way to spend a morning watching trout rise and take a size 8 dry fly.
No Cicadas or trout were harmed for this post
