Re: Idea

I'd love to offer what I know, while learning a thing or two along the way..

topics could include
GEAR (waders, shoes, vest and contents that go into it)
FLIES (wet, dry, nymphs)
LEADER (sizes for different purposes)
TIPPET ( how to make leader extentions)
ROD and REEL (different rods for different creeks
CASTING (various casting technique using thumb on cork or index finger to point to target)
NYMPHING (10ft rods nymphing a quick run, also how to use strike indicators when drifting a beadhead, ect.

I would do this for sure on a big enough stream that holds trout all year, or even a decent size OPEN creek

Re: Idea

I would do that, maybe skip the tying part.. A lot of guys might want to try fishing first before learning to tie flies.. could be wrong... could always throw a feeler out there and see who would be interested

Re: Idea

I'd be interested. My first trip out a few weeks ago was something along those lines. My buddy has a wealth of knowledge and I had a camp with some great trout streams handy that hold trout all year. I caught two right off the bat so he figured I had it down and we split up. I still have some equipment and technique related issues I could use some help on.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.

Re: Idea

I am a newbie and could defiantly benefit.

It would all depend on date and location. My weekends are pretty full right now though.
