Re: Big Pine Pics

Fin,
Glad to see you fishing Pine, the weather has been kind of tough, we should be getting some warmer weather this next week and the hatches should improve.

Re: Big Pine Pics

Big Pine got slammed with high water again!! Muddy and high, hopefully it clears by early next wk. At least there is a lot of water with the heat that's coming , should prolong fishing a little longer if weather permits. This past wknd was just beautiful fishing though!!

Re: Big Pine Pics

Where on Pine are you talking about? Pine down at Cedar Run did come up yesterday but is dropping fast. Fishing should be fine this weekend. With what the extended forecast calls for Pine should fish well into June. Water temps up in Tioga County are only in the mid 50's.

Re: Big Pine Pics

Brad,
Upper Pine around Galeton & Gaines is high and muddy right
now, should clear up in the next day or two if we do not get to much more rain.

Re: Big Pine Pics

Dave,
I was just out on Pine this morning down in Gaines. The water is slightly cloudy(not muddy) & cold(56 deg) & not that high, although it did come up since yesterday. I had no problem wading across to get to a place I like to fish.Caught some fish on nymphs. It is fishable as we speak.

Re: Big Pine Pics

As of Wed. it was over 3.1 feet at cedar run. Thats almost 2 feet above what it was the day before. Its dropping and currently is at 2.4. Needs to be 2 or under for good wading conditions in certain spots.

Dave,
After thinking about it I was wondering if Long Run had been dumping a bunch of muddy water into Pine. I was above where Long Run enters.
