Flyfishing in Italy

We just got back from our vacation in Italy, I took the opportunity to book a day with Luca Castellani fishing the river Nera in Cerreto di Spoleto. This small mountain town is just over an hour north of Rome by train through some very beautiful country. The water of the Nera is the most exquisite hue of Sapphire with the clarity of gin. The countryside the stream flowed through to say the least was incredible! I felt blessed to fish there and was doubly blessed to have my son there to fish with me. We both caught fish, I took one (actually several) 😂 for the team and donated to the tree gods of Europe. It was a day that will never dim in my memory and one that Iíll always cherish.

This could be a dumb question, but I'm quite accustomed to asking them, so here goes.

Do they raise and stock fish in Italy ?

I'm not sure, the trout in the stream we were on were wild
