Reminds me of several creeks at my Cabin. Little runs like that hold hundreds of brookies and a 10" fish is a monster!
Not much casting involved. Just sort of stand at the top of the hole, hold the rod out slowly and dip a slack line into the run. Every hole is nearly guaranteed to hold at least one!
Haven't done that in years.
Now back home here we have some streams with much bigger brookies. I don't even fish them anymore. Sometimes I'll walk up to a hole, part back the brush, and just see what's lurking in the depths. Those places are pretty magical to me and I keep them secret.
