The Purple Heart Nymph

Sat down the other night, and brought up the purple heart medal. I looked at what I had in materials and tried to match the nymph as close to the medal as I could. I think it looks pretty close.

Doing 100 of these to benefit Project Healing Waters. Halfway to my goal of what I wanted to raise. This will go to the event held on Kettle Creek in May. I will be going this year, and am very excited to help out.

Such a great organization! I only wish I could be more active. Maybe once the kids get a little older and less dependent on mom and me, I can help out with some tying classes or something.

If you are a purple heart recipient and would like one of these flies, please message me and I will get one out to you.

Nice job and a nice thing to do.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

That's awesome!! I may end up doing another run of these, to keep benefiting that program just too crushed right now though. BUt that pattern is going to be reserved as a benefit pattern. The first run waiting list of serial numbers went in a few days. Was blown away on the response from these. Ill be tying a couple for myself and try my hand at landing the first trout on them LOL
