Saltwater fly fishing

I had a chance to get down to the beach this past weekend and did some fly fishing. My buddy and I caught between 40 to 50 fish. A mix of blues, rock, and hickory shad. This was my first time catching these fish on a fly. My back ground in fly fishing is mostly trout. What an absolute blast we had.

Waterfowling success should never be measured by the weight of the strap

Re: Saltwater fly fishing

Nice fish.
Down by me in Cape May County there are quite a few charter captains that are adding small boats for back bay striper fishing on fly rods, and seem to be doing quite well at it.
Me I still enjoy those November mornings drifting eels through 6' swells under cloud skys and 20+ MPH winds out of the north
