Would there be any interest in helping out?

Hey guys, my wife has a friend that has ovarian cancer that has spread to her other organs. They are doing a basket party in August to raise money for her, and my wife came up with the idea of doing a fly fishing basket since it is an activity we both greatly enjoy.

I told her I would reach out to see if anyone would have any interest in tying a few flies for the basket. I plan to tie one box of a few different patterns for the box, but I was wondering if there would be anyone else interested in donating a few flies for this. Not sure what kind of interest there will be; I can maybe trade a few of some kind of flies for them as well if that would help. I appreciate any help I can get on this one. Thanks guys!

I cant promise for 100% sure because my FIL is in the same boat but if i have the time i will for sure tying something up. Im would assume that jack and mike probably would also. If i cant get anything tied up i will at least donate the boxes. On another note, i will be praying for her.

I willing to ties up some wooly buggers. Need a target date to get them to you and suggestion for Qty. to send.

Might throw in a Cicada pattern or two. As I am currently building up my supply of them in anticipation of fly fishing Cicadas in West Virgnia soon.

You can P.M. me your address if you decide the fishing basket is a go.

Re: Would there be any interest in helping out?

The event is being held on 8/27, so by the second week of August should be plenty of time. I am thinking 4 - 6 flies from anyone willing to tie a few would work. Also, we will be putting in other fly fishing supplies as well, things like tippet, fly line, and backing if there is anyone who doesn't tie flies but would still like to help. I had planned to put most of that stuff in myself, but any kind of help is appreciated. Thanks to all who have reached out to me so far!

Re: Would there be any interest in helping out?

I will be in for a box of flies for sure. That lead time works great for me as I am still trying to hit the 600 I am tying for orders.

The box will be a double sided one, so you will be able to add the other flies donated by guys to that box. the box will fit 80 total if you leave 2 spaces between each fly. I apologize for just seeing this now. Things are crazy right now for me LOL

Re: Would there be any interest in helping out?

I feel moved to add a restored bamboo fly rod to sweeten the pot for a good cause as I don't tie flies any longer...

Looked around and found a 6' 6" fly/spin combo rod that has impregnated bamboo (water repellant) that's all ready to go. The rod is a 4 weight on the fly side. Rod bag, tube & Care instructions will be provided also...

PM me your address, Beagle... Prayers for restored health for her.

Canefly

Do good and disappear........

I stayed up all night to prove to myself I don't snore.

Re: Would there be any interest in helping out?

are you sure about that?? That's a pretty big donation! We would certainly be glad to add it to the basket of course, but wow.
