Anyone ever fish the Bob?

Just curious. Trying to plan a back country fishing trip to Montana or Idaho and wonder if anyone's fished in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

Wherever somebody’s strugglin’ to be free,
Look in their eyes ma you’ll see me.

I never have been there, but friends went with a horse packer and they had good fishing for cutthroat trout.

You should be able to backpack in and have good fishing. Go for it.

Re: Anyone ever fish the Bob?

I fished the north, south and middle fork of the Sun in the Bob Marshall. It was amazing. Will be back soon. Dad is heading back out this summer. Last year I fished Bitterroot and the Sun was a lot better.

I didn't run into an angler besides guys in my group in 8 days.
No access to Sun besides by foot or horse. I stayed at K Bar L before the Klick family sold it.
