Re: Anyone use switch rods?

I have a 7 wt. Echo 10'10" switch for steelhead fishing. I really like fishing it, but most steams including all but Elk Creek in Erie are way to small for it. I also use it for bass fishing in the Juniata River. Hardest part of the setup is finding a line that works with the rod.

Re: Anyone use switch rods?

I had a 11'4" 7wt built for me a few years back. I like the rod a lot, but would agree with Biggie that it is a bit too much for PA steelhead water. However, there are a number of streams/rivers in NY and OH where these rods are ideal.
