Popper Patterns

Does anybody have any bass popper patterns that they prefer? I am looking for some different pattern ideas. Thanks in advance!

Re: Popper Patterns

The Frugal Method:
Tail - squirrel tail,
Body -wrap hook with thread,

you know the foam tray that meat from your grocery stores comes packed in? Cut it into 1/4 inch strips, squeeze it between your fingers to mold it a bit and flatten it. Wrap that around the hook while wrapping it with thread - as much as you want. I make them look like they are 8 months pregnant.

Then wrap with whatever you like - thread, estaz, yarn, etc, etc. - even rubber bands - various colors.

A few wraps of hackle up near the eye make it look less fugly. Sometimes I add a few legs, most times not.

Hot colors - combo green/yellow, greem/red, brown/orange.
Green - chartreuese or olive.
A little red around the head is a good addition too.

Use long shanked hooks - big hooks for bass, small ones for pannies.

They float and chug like a charm.

I like using homemade ingredients..- leaves me more $ for beer.

That's a cool idea. I will give it a try. Thanks.
