I have kept a copy of this article in my fishing room for many years, and still reference it from time to time. I have a number of these woven nymphs in a one of my fly boxes that I tied a long time ago, and they work wonderfully well.

They are beautiful flies - belong in a glass case..

IMO - I don't spend time with intricacies like that - I employ the KISS principle to stony flies.

Fly shops love to sell them - they catch more fi$$hermen than fish.

As long as I get the silhoutte correct - the fish hammer down on mine
