Re: fly fishing luck

This is my first year of fly fishing and I'm having a blast. My go to fly is a hares ear nymph.

Waterfowling success should never be measured by the weight of the strap

Re: fly fishing luck

Most productive for me was a red beadheaded black wooly bugger fished by casting it slightly upstream and short stripping it back in. Just love the feeling when they strike.

2nd best producer was a gold beaded olive flashback nymph fishing it mostly directly upstream using a thing a mc bobber to set depth as well as an awesome strike indicator.

Love dry fly fishing, but only a so so year for me for fishing drys and terrestrials.
