Return of the Orange Beetle!

After chucking spinners yesterday, I really wanted to get a few with the fly rod today. Well, last night's storms put a damper on plans A, B, C, and D...so 2 hours after sunrise and 60 extra miles, I finally got a fly on fishable water...but I wasn't alone. It might be hard to tell on the video, but he was literally just on the other side of the road, but I was downwind so I wasn't too concerned, but my heart rate was certainly elevated! (YouTube told me the video was "shaky"...I was like NO $*%#!)

I caught a great mix of colorful wild Brown Trout and Natives, ended with 37 for the morning.

Re: Return of the Orange Beetle!

Does a bear slip on the rocks? I think that's how the old line goes.

Is anyone good at estimating bear weights? How much do you think that one weighed?

I was estimating 350-400...looked REALLY big at 10 yards!
