Big Bugs = Big Fish

These big things here big up some pretty big fish and big crowds also






23-24" of pure butter, had a bigger one pop off earlier in the day.

where at??? i didnt realize we get any good hex hatches in PA...well..by the time i got into PA fly fishing i was back out of it...


went to Michigan and the hex hatches are about famous...i tried finding a partner and had no luck...id try early morning and late evening but im not fishing a river alone after the sun goes down...

One day I will make it back up to Michigan and fish the hex hatch...

I can't even bring myself to fish PA after fishing up there...but I'm looking forward to going there in a couple weeks to fish lol....supposed to be visiting the girlfriend.... Well...I gotta start getting my fishing gear ready! Lol.

I've fished wy, co, mt, id, ak, nz, and up and down the east coast and I've yet to find trout water so good it puts PA to shame. Now I'm sure Michigan has some nice water but there are 4 places here that will hold their own with just about anywhere. IMHO

I agree with you, we have some awesome water around, people dont give it enough credit but hey thats fine by me....but im not going to lie, alittle jealous that you went to NZ

No doubt steelhead fishing is better in Michigan than PA, as it has a lot more mileage of Great Lakes tributaries.

But is the regular trout fishing in Michigan really so great? What are some good streams to fish there? The Ausable is famous of course. But what are some others?
