Hatches?

Has anybody been seeing anything coming off in any quantity? I saw a few sulphurs out, but not much else. Hoping to hit it this coming week pretty good with sulphur nymphs and some caddis larvae and see how it goes.

A bad day hunting rabbits beats a good day of anything else!

Re: Hatches?

Out in full swing? I'm not too late, am I? I won't have time to fish the evening hatch until next week. Will I be on the smaller flies by then, or should I go with the bigger ones still? I've been tying up nymphs and emergers for sulphurs the last couple days, so I think I'm ready!

Re: Hatches?

I was on the Lehigh river friday evening and had some sulfer action, it was the first time I have seen them this year. There were not a lot of flies on the water, so the fish were not steady on the surface. We did manage to get a few fish on dries though.

There will be plenty of time to fish the sulfur hatches yet. Some areas might be in full swing, other's could just be getting started.

Good luck, Tony
