Waders for tall guys

I was wondering if there were any other tall guys with big feet on this forum that could recommend breathable waders (preferably stockingfoot).

I am 6'6", have size 14 boots and a 36" inseam, and am having a heck of a time finding reasonably priced ($250-300 max) waders. Has anyone else gone through this and have any recommendations?

I have contacted Simms about custom waders, but I imagine their pricing will too rich for my blood.

Re: Waders for tall guys

Try some ll Bean waders. I have a pair that fit well enough, I'm 6'4", 35" inseam, 13 shoe. I also have the orvis sonics which fit better than the Bean. Look for the tall designation on the size.

Re: Waders for tall guys

LL Bean was one of the first places I looked. They only go up to 13's, and every pair of 13's I have tried hurt my feet.

I wanted to look into the Cabela's Dry Plus waders, but their tall version only goes up to XL - I need the XXL (same thing applies to the Orvis Waders). I also looked at Frogg Togg Anura II waders (online). They are in my price range and look like they would fit - but I am getting mixed reviews about Frogg Togg waders online so I am leery about trying them.

Has anyone ever used the Cabela's GuideTech waders? They are available in a tall, but don't seem to be as popular as the DryPlus waders.

Re: Waders for tall guys

I am 6'5 250lbs wear size 14 shoe. I wear Cabela's premium dry plus waders for the past 6-7 years and have had great results with them. I also use their wading boots as well. They are the only ones I have found in a size 15. You want to try to go one size up if you can. I wear the large stout chest waders, and the large size waist high waders. My pant size is 38x34 and I have a 48" chest. Best part about the cabela's brand is about 2 yrs ago they started leaking around the neoprene bootie and they gave me a brand new pair for free Even after I fished the first pair pretty hard for about 3 yrs. The bootie fits good even though the size says up to 12 or 13 as well. They run big.

Re: Waders for tall guys

I'm 6'8" and wear a 14. I have a pair of custom LL Beans that they made for me roughly 16 years ago. They are still fantastic and don't leak. I have a pair of Sims G2 in the XXL size. They fit but leaked after a year. I just bought Patagonia Rio Gallegos in the XLKing size, but you could also do XL Long if you don't need extra room. They are also a good option.

For under $300, here's what I'd look at:
