Booby Flys Experiment

Spent a day on the Erie tribs steelhead fishing recently with great success. Tried out a new fly called a booby fly. They are made in the U.K. and used for trout fishing over there with great success. You fish them on a weighted line and they represent a hatch when it's first leaving the stream bottom in a little air bubble drifting up. Started out with the color white with some action but switched to chartruse and the steelhead responded. Had eleven hookups and ended up landing three. Also connected on two brown trout and landed one in the twenty inch range. Have several more colors to experiment with but when one is working it's hard to change over. If looking for more info on booby flies just look it up on the web and you''ll find plenty of info.
