Re: Anyone seeing any hatches?

I'am not an expert but I did see what looked like a mayfly up and down on a pond yesterday around RT 22-119.There are fish jumping and hitting something on the surface.

I've been catching a ton of trout here in erie at elk and 4 mile on Adams dries, they're attacking the surface all day long.

Re: Anyone seeing any hatches?

Here on the Delaware and the rest of the Catskill streams we have Blue Quills, Quill Gordons and Hendricksons. The Blue quills and Quill Gordons are finishing up and Hendricksons are just getting started. Sulphurs don't usually show up here for about another month in a normal year.

Re: Anyone seeing any hatches?

Good to hear some are hitting the top! I fished an adams a few weeks ago and caught one nice wild brown, but I haven't seen any fish hitting the surface around here lately. Went to the Loyalhanna and they were surfacing there. Had a bunch of hits on a chernobyl ant on top, but now I am itching for more surface activity to appear!

Re: Anyone seeing any hatches?

Stoneflies are hatching on bald eagle. Went out to close the chicken pens last night and had a half dozen nice dark stoneflies waiting on the one pen.

Re: Anyone seeing any hatches?

I've been seeing decent numbers of bugs, and some decent (not GREAT, but OK) dry fly activity.

Things should be good coming up, with water temps getting up into the mid-50s or so.

Re: Anyone seeing any hatches?

Saw em rising this evening at little muddy creek along lancaster berks line not sure what it was they were hitting as I ten mins to fish (I work 7 mins from it). Must say the stream is way understock than some of the others stock just by the looks.
