dry flies

Did better this morning fishing dry flies. I had a hard time seeing the flies because of overcast skies. Switched to a red tag that made it easier to see. Thanks for the advice guys, made sure to mend my line. I caught about 4 small ones, still learning and can't wait to go again.

you have caught more than I have in the last 2 years on dries... with the exception of fathers day when I went after brookies. Great job, and glad the members could help you out. I would say that attackones advice to have a small delay before setting the hook is the key, but mending is huge in presentation.

Re: dry flies

Just got back from elk near the mouth. Managed to pull two browns out with some Adams dry flies that I tied myself. Pretty cool, first time a fly I tied was successful.

They were rising up all over elk.
