Re: My Boy's First Walleye

Cheeks.... For the last several years, we save our cheeks for camp during EML. The small ones we cook like lobster. The larger ones we batter fry or grill wrapped in bacon.

Yes, we were fishing Lake Erie. We live a mile and a half from Walnut Creek Marina, so its pretty much my home water. It usually takes an 8 pound average to place in any walleye tourney around here.

Ironically, my older son's first walleye was 8lbs on the button.
