Rock 1 Boat 0

This morning 3toes-FishDr and myself were on the water for skis and only were into the day by about a half hour. We were traveling from one location to the next at about 25-30 mph and my boat found a rock not exposed. Needless to say the day was done..Holes, Huge dents, and a call to my insurance company when I got home. So I guess the inboard will be laid up for at least 3 weeks and who knows they may total it!!!

Re: Rock 1 Boat 0

Thanks guys. I am really hoping they fix it because I spent so long to find the boat. It is a Bass Tracker 18.5ft with the 175 hp inboard.

Yes we were ok. The boat absorbed all the impact. FishDr did catch some air but like I said thankfully I was not into the throttle that much.

Re: Rock 1 Boat 0

I hope you can get it fixed too man, definitely not a good outing. FYI - 3toes & I didn't find my glasses with the aquaview either. Saw some fish, but no skies with it. We didn't move any either. Tonight with the kids was fun though....a few channels, a big bullhead & tons of undersized crappies at Sayers.

There is always a season!

Re: Rock 1 Boat 0

That stinks, but I feel your pain! Back in 2001, I hit a rock while in Canada with my brand new (only had it 3 weeks) G3 19ft bass boat (w/ 150hp). That made for a long week up there. My insurance did cover the repairs though (it needed a new lower unit).
Did this happen on the river?

That stinks. At least you are smart enough to carry boat insurance.
