Re: pike styles of fishing

PA is a pretty tough state for pike fishing, at least for targeting and catching big pike. Most of the ones I catch are caught accidently on artificial lures like bucktails or large soft plastics.

There is always a season!

Re: pike styles of fishing

A shiner under a bobber works for me in a lake, but never anything too big. Spoons and crankbaits work in the river.

Re: pike styles of fishing

Find a tailwater below a reservoir dam. Ought to be Pike lined up feeding there.

Re: pike styles of fishing

If I am targeting pike I use spoons, large spinners and jerk baits. Most of the pike I catch are caught when fishing for other species.
