Heading up with Dad tomorrow morning for the day. Figuring to try the north end this time. Is one launch better than another ??

Re: Best Pymatuning launch ??

Im not sure if one is better than the other, especially on the weekends, but I used Manning this week and I liked it.

Linesville is probably nicer but also much busier than any other on the north end. I usually use Manning.

Btw, the bite has finally slowed. Ive hit it hard the past 3 days and put 5 eyes in the box.

Good luck!!!

Well.............

Put in at Linesville. Nice launch. Parking lot was chucked full. But right in and right out. No waiting.

Dad boxed one eye. A few big perch.

Noticed that we saw ZERO rolling carp !!! They are EVERYWHERE south of the causeway. Weird.

Re: Best Pymatuning launch ??

I've been using Wilson...Was there at 6:45 this morning, only 5 vehicles there before me. No line, no fish cops. Took one look at Linesville 3 weeks ago and decided it wasn't my cup of tea.Picked up 1 nice bass on Blue and silver Hot n Tot right out of the chute.. Worked hard for 1 14" eye on crawler harness(watermellon), 2 small perch... Seems to be over. Might have to go down to Stocker tomorrow......

When I was there Monday, the carp where everywhere on the north end....Once we would drift just past them and get outta the weeds, bang, we would get a hit.

Re: Best Pymatuning launch ??

Everything we picked up (what little there was) came in 10.5' off the SE end of Clark. Came on chart/green worm spinner harness and a chrome/orange spin-n-glo harness. Did have one short hit a flatlined white/redhead Wally Diver.

Saw one other boat out of a BUNCH that had a legal eye. Saw only a couple outfits even boating a perch.

Re: Best Pymatuning launch ??

Myself and a friend fished pymy yesterday from 6:30am to 7:30pm, we boated 11 eyes, 6 perch, 4 really big bluegills, and about a dozen channel cats. All while drifting crawler harnesses.
