Double Bite skirted Armadillo's - 2oz+

Here's a new custom spinner built from idea's provided by an HPA member and FCS customer.

Two #8 .040 gauge French blades - double skirts with a dressed treble.

These babies displace a lot of water during rotation.

Re: Double Bite skirted Armadillo's - 2oz+

Thanks for the encouragement.

Guess I'll get to show off another one.

I like the contrast on this fluor green with the black buck tail. Part of the package is getting into tying the custom buck tail colors to match or contrast the spinner.

Extra size brings extra cost, but the HPABucks discount still has some mileage on it -25% ends up a good deal for a sweet custom built spinner.

Can't wait til the muskie pictures start showing up!

Re: Double Bite skirted Armadillo's - 2oz+

Got the #8 .040 gauge Colorado's and fluted Indiana blades from Lakeland.

They weigh 2.5oz and are about 8.5 inches long.

Had to solve a couple problems with the double Colorado's not spinning.

Here's a few pictures and a link to a blog post about them.

This one has a zonker strip dressed treble - ultra fluid when wet and easy to make.

More Double Bites

I'm going to experiment with the zonker banded trebles more, lots of potential.

Nice order, you'll be pleased. I included an extra since the discount expired.

Here's w few more banded zonker dressed trebles.

The bucktail in the front gives you a sense of the difference in bulk. All made on #2/0 3x trebles.
