Allegheny Muskie fishing

Is memorial day weekend a good time to try for muskies on the Allegheny we would be fishing from Brokenstraw down to east hickory for a day trip.We will be fishing from a 16' Gheenoe with a 6hp motor float down river only. will park car down river for pick up.
any info will be appreciated.

anytime is a good time on the river for musky, especially before the weeds pop up and make it harder to cast. Take it slow, when you come across a deep hole be sure to cast it out. I have thrown over 50 casts in the same spot before before a musky hit it. I like smaller lures this time of year. Good luck!
