Pymatunning Dam

Anyone been to Pymatunning Dam recently? I live in New Castle and would like to know if the water level is up to normal again.

Re: Pymatunning Dam

Not too sure about water level. I'd say it's similar to most water on the Eastern half of the state...low. That being said, I heard they're slaying walleye off the causeway and doing ok at the dam as well...

Re: Pymatunning Dam

The water level is about a foot low. Lots of crappie during the day and eyes at night. Fished there Saturday early morning and had to keep breaking ice out of the tips of the pole.

Did well with the crappies but no eyes. Water temps in the 50's.

Re: Pymatunning Dam

my buddy did some wade fishing somewhere up there last weekend and he as well as 3 others limited out on eyes.. he said they are going this coming weekend to get there instead of the trout opener

Re: Pymatunning Dam

Not a lie. Buddy's went up a week 1/2 ago. Each caught their limit...as far as being "fished out"...is that even possible...

Re: Pymatunning Dam

What are they limiting out on? jigheads and 1/2 a crawler? crankbaits? minnows?
