Yellow Creek is about 10 feet from the outhouse!

Actually its about 10 miles east of Indiana, right off of Rt. 422.

I used to fish it often throughout the summer and winter. No shortage of pike and occasionally some tiger musky.

If you dont mind me asking (Cause I live near Yellow creek but never fished it) what kinda lures/bait you guys catchin pike on? I fish for trout frequently, bass off and on, but I just ordered a new rod about an hour ago cause I want to get into bass and pike fishing pretty seriously. Thanks for the insight. I dont keep anything, I practice catch and release but I would really love to catch some pike and maybe some musky. Always wanted to, but never fished for em hard.

I often wonder,Why do people get mad, when you tell them the truth?

Never tried too much soft water out there, but have spent many days chasing tip ups. Have pulled THO USANDS of pike and bass from the lake. Areas where boats can't get into during the summer!

Re: First day out on the boat at Yellow Creek

It is horrible for the weeds after mid-spring. I only get a small window to travel down for the spring. We'll fish it hard from when the ice melts till mid spring. My buddy was out the other day and told me the weeds are well underway for the year. I probably won't be able to fish it again this year before the weeds take over...Oh well, off to moraine for stripers!

P.S. When did they put those "turtle docks" in? This is the first year I noticed them randomly throughout the lake. I told my buddy by next year they'll have porta-potties on them.
