Looks like a good time. Wish I could go again this year. Went to the Georgian Bay a couple years in a row the last few years with Diamond Key Lodge. AWESOME pike fishing. Good luck, hope you find someone to go!
I had a 4-man crew but one had to dropout. I don't like to fish 3 in a boat (14ft), so looking for another guy. We take our own boats/motors which saves about $600. Also do our own cooking.
Fish in this area of the Gouin is very good. Driving 180 miles (oneway) of dirt keeps out the "day trippers" away, lol. All the guys are retired...in our early 60's. Yrs ago I had a waiting list of guys wanting to go...boy times have changed.
Where on the reservoir is that outfitter. I have been going to Martin Outfitters for 23 years and stay out on what we call the "Big Water" which is on the top of Matawa Bay one bay West of Saranah Bay. Always a good time even if the fish aren't cooperating as well as we would like. We see a lot of people compared to when I started to go up but the 180 miles of dirt then boating all gear to the camp for a couple hours really makes you relax for a week.
<span style="font-style: italic">"The Walleye Point is located on the south bay of the Gouin Reservoir. This bay is also called Lake Bureau, the original name of this body of water before the construction of the Gouin storage dam, wich now covers more than 100 km by 60 km (60 miles by 40 miles)." </span>
