Mon River Walleye...

Just a heads up to all the guys fishing the Mon.. Been hitting some really nice eyes pretty fast and furious at a few locations on the river. Landed over 30 in two days last week with the biggest hitting 24". Went out today from 12:30 - 3:30 and caught over a dozen with a few smallmouth, largemouth and hybrids mixed in. Get it while the getting is good!

Re: Mon River Walleye...

I went out the last 2 days and caught between 10-15 with my buddy all on jigs tipped with worms. Biggest was only 17", but a good time nonetheless. River has been colored perfectly and current is nice.

Re: Mon River Walleye...

Night crawlers floated off the bottom, and twister tail white grubs with a 1/4 oz. jighead. Head color hasen't seemed to matter but the white body does. we're not even jigging them just casting out and retrieving real slow while bouncing the rocks on bottom. Rapala X-raps were my most productive bait yesterday, a pearl white color.

Yep, I was fishing them REALLL slow. Feeling every rock on the bottom. Just picking the rod tip up slow, taking a full crank, and back down. They were picking it up though.
