Walleye lake

Can anyone suggest a lake in ontario or quebec for walleye. Ive fished cobonga reservoir years ago,but want to try someplace else. Maybee a cabin with boat rental.Wife didnt like the 4hr ride on dirt road on dangerous logging road to deer horn lodge. Anybody know of any lake of the woods outfitters they would reccomend? Thanks.

Re: Walleye lake

My family used to go to Fernleigh Lodge in Ontario. The smallmouth, pike, and walleye fishing was always very good. Also, the lake was fairly large, but very manageable.

It's been 7 years since we've been up there, but I'm guessing things probably haven't changed too drastically.

Re: Walleye lake

how far do want to drive, how much to spend, how secluded/private do what it, and how good do you really want the fishing to be? best would be a fly-in trip to the james bay region.

Re: Walleye lake

I'd highly recommend Air Tamarac in Quebec. You can catch a float plain from the paved road. Walleye fishing is very good and the outfitter is top notch and has make a ton of upgrades to his operation.
