First feb musky(s)

First I have to thank jack and fishdoc for giving me tips as I got into the obsession. & also the guy who sold me a crankbait at the butler fishing show. You can see it hangin out of the little fishes mouth so if anyone knows him, let me know his info ill send him a thanks too and also order about 5 more lures. I went hard and got lucky with a couple of fish on wed. I also lost two others at the bank. 29 & 36 I know they arent giants but as hard as I try they mean the world to me. I must be finally doing something right. I should also note that I was extremely careful not to get the gills with my fish hook. The second fish was bleeding from the lure. I have no intentions of ever harming a musky and am very careful to keep them alive and well. I got them both back in the water very quickly. Next stop hopefully 40" haha

Re: First feb musky(s)

Congrats on 2 nice fish. The lure, from what I can see is either a neuman or a wiley. It should be signed or have the makers mark on the bait. If you figure out who it is I may have their contact info. One last thing, I would avoid using that gaff hook as there is too great a risk for injuring the fish. Boga's, if used right, would be a much better choice.

You can't get em from the couch.

Nice job, looks like a Wiley or reproduction wiley to me. I agree on getting away from the gaff. You a boga or gloves if you are nervous. Good job

Re: First feb musky(s)

It is definitely a Newman. Thanks for putting the names up there because before i couldnt make out exactly what the signature said. If you could send me his contact id be grateful, that little crank fires right off of logs and rocks like a dream i think due to its large square bill. Also I bought a large rapala grip lock today so next time ill be more prepared. thanks for the help again guys

Good job on the fish! You looked like you had some fun out there. Neuman's number is 724-944-8123.
