Heading back to Bush Country Camp-Walleye!

Well we just booked for the week of 7/21/12 at Bush Country Camp in Quebec for Walleye/pike and Quebec bush country. 5 adults, 6 kids, my father in law wants to go again and take the boys that were not old enough last time and we are very excited about it.

Some may remember my trip report on it back in 2009, I think a couple of you maybe even booked with them becasue of it as i remember several PMs. To refresh, the big walleye produced by their slot limits , the great scenry and waterfall connecting the two lakes, the hikes on the trails to their moose stands, swimming at the rock and of course my unfortunate homeward bound meeting on Highway 11 in northern Ontario with an asleep driver that took my truck, but to thanks of GOD and my reflexs nothing else.

Anyway , I just talked with Norm today and he is en-route to the Harrisburg show so i thought I'd give him a little shout out in case anyone here is looking for a great remote drive-in walleye/pike trip, well you drive to a spot then get boated in several miles to the lodge island..they do bear and moose hunts too...one of the coolest parts of the trip is the drive back to the landing where he picks you up, 2 hours of log road after you leave the pavement of town that takes you thru some great country....something I hope to better document with film this year. Cool drive on some cool bush roads, 4WD recommended. (It is the highway that is dangerous LOL)

The lodge has changed owners since my last visit, but after talking with Norm the last week or so (the new owner for a couple years now) I can say the quailty of service remains very HIGH and he was quite accomidating to our group.

I just asked him for his booth #, so you guys can find him there if in the market. After 7/1 kids under 16 are free , but keep in mind this is not a trip for kids that can't stand to be "unplugged" , just an FYI.

Sorry to jump in here late but I was one of the people that booked with BCC beacause of your trip report! Norm is a heck of a nice guy. We had 4 adults and 4 kids in our group and had a great time. We are going again in July 2013..
