During my furlough I've been walking my dog along the Perkiomen Creek. This one stretch looks like it should have some bass in it , so last evening I decided to give it a try. Caught this guy about 32 inches long on a 3" Rapala. 1st Muskie and the biggest fish I've ever caught. Thought I was snagged at first , then it started taking out line. What a thrill! Pretty cool. Still have a flip phone so the pic isn't that good.
Muskies have to be 40 inches, also they are not that good to eat. Personally I would never kill a muskie . One that has reached 40 inches deserves to reach 50 inches.
Never thought of keeping it , my first thought when it was almost landed was how was I going to get him unhooked.
Was only hoping to catch a bass or two, didn't have any equipment with me. Luckily he flopped a couple of times and the lure fell out.
