Leaving for Canada on Saturday

We will be fishing Lake Hebert in Quebec next week (July 3-10) for walleye and northern pike. I will try to post some photos when we return.

Re: Leaving for Canada on Saturday

Good fishing Mutt...Hebert is a honey hole.

I was up to the Gouin 6/11 - 6/18 & fishing was very good 4 days. I had 3 days in the upper 80 degree range with bright sun & calm water...fish turned off on these days.

I only have a few pic's...here's one morning catch.

My buddy's pike

A small pike & me

Re: Leaving for Canada on Saturday

Looks like you had a great trip, FT. I hope the weather gives us a break and we do half as well.

I fished Goiun before. Great Walleye up there. Used to fish out of Caesar's lodge.

Re: Leaving for Canada on Saturday

This is the outfitter we are using.
http://www.tamarac.ca/php/en/hebert_profil.php
He will fly us in to Lake Hebert on Sunday, July 3, and pick us up on Sunday, July 10. They supply boats, motors, gas, and there will be a caretaker in residence, but we do our own cooking and fish on our own. Dave has been there a number of times since the mid 1980s, so we are not going in blind, thank God. This will be my first trip on which I will be fishing primarily for walleye so it will be a learning process.
This outfitter also operates on the Gouin Reservoir. When we return, I will be sure to give a detailed report and will try to get some good photos.
