Re: Lake Erie Walleye fishing?

Anytime in May through September, the peak being in July.

Limit is 6 fish, 15" or longer. We rarely catch them that size though, the most common sized fish is probably 23-24" with a fair number of 27", 7-8 lbs fish thrown in. The occasional 30"+, 10+ lbs fish are not that uncommon either if you spend a lot of time on the water.

Good charters book up fast, particularly for the weekends.

Here's a list of charters. Buckets & Vision Quest would be my best recommendation, but I'm sure there are plenty of others that are good as well. (I've never fished with any of them, as I'm local and get out on friends boats, but those 2 probably have the best reputation on this end of the lake. At least IMO.)

Re: Lake Erie Walleye fishing?

I like late season August for the best time. Although I fish both, I would reccomend checking into Ashtabula OH which is a short distance from Erie. The fishing club Im in goes there twice a year on charters and we've always brought back our limit...often times faster than we would like. If that area sparks your interest let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.
