Walleye Swatara Creek

Can anybody share any info with me regarding fishing for walleye on the Swatara Creek this time of year? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to share publicly. Thanks!

I've fished that creek since I was a kid, from the river up to Union Deposit. I've only ever caught a few walleyes and even then there was no rhyme or reason to it and they were all dinks. Now I have herd of people catching some pig walleyes in the Swattie but they are few and far between.

Nice. Did you fish it with a boat, Mr. Sweg?

99.9% of the time, if I'm in the Swattie, I'm wading. once or twice I'm in a canoe, but it's such skinny water there that it's most accessible by wading.

A lot of water snakes in the Swattie. That makes want to not wade if one of them buggers swims past my legs. Any tips for catching the smallmouth?

Yep... downsize everything. Light tackle is the way to go. Hit any structure that offers creates an eddy or changes depth. Hit all available cover and in the heat of summer fish any available shade. I love throwing a 4" Senko wacky rigged on 4# test line. The clearer the water the more natural the color.

We use the smaller size of the rebel crayfish, and do pretty good

Re: Walleye Swatara Creek

What is it about wacky rigging a senko!? I never seem to have luck using that technique.
