Anyone know of any spots around clearfield -central PA area? Not asking for tactics or special secrets just so I don't have to travel so far. I heard shaggers inn has them but I don't believe it much. Send me a PM if you feel the need too, thanks guys

Black Moshannon is most likely your best bet. Our camp is close by and they are in there.

TREASURE LAKE HAS THEM.Also,Sandy lick creek is loaded with them in the spring when they spawn.There's a stretch of Sandy lick just outside of Dubois,near the tie plant that gets fished pretty hard for them.

Shaggers has chain pickerel but no pike and not many of the pickerel. There were 2 duck ponds east of shaggers near quehanna hwy that were full of chain pickerel but the game commission drained both of them. I've never caught a pike in that area

You guys are great help I appreciate all the replies! Pike is one of my top fav species but it gets exspensive traveling, also do you have to live at treasure lake to fish it or can you some kind of permission?

You can't put a boat in unless you're a property owner but you can fish there if someone calls you in.I don't live in there but I own property.If you want to fish,send me a pm and I'll shoot you my cell.I can give you good directions to the place on Sandy lick where there's Pike.It's real close to the Sheetz in Falls creek.

Yeah, Treasure Lake has a lot of pike, mostly on the smaller side but there are some big ones in there. We catch a bunch through the ice and while trolling. I never fished Sandy Lick but have heard it's loaded like dce says.

Re: Pike in central PA

Can't believe that nobody has mentioned Glendale. Plenty of pike there, along with a lot of pickerel and a fair population of muskies.

If you're having trouble hunting for deer,
don't wish things were easier;
wish you were smarter.
