No buck but 5 muskies

Took vacation for the last 4 days of archery. Family took a trip to nothern PA to hunt/visit the wife's family. After hunting Wednesday without seeing a deer, I hit the river on Thursday and was rewarded with my first 3 fish day, which included a fat 48 inch fish(I'm guessing 35lbs).

Friday the FIL got a fat 44incher with my son while I was hunting that weighed 32lbs on the bogas, but since this is my glory thread and not his, there is no pic of his fish. Just kidding, his fish is on his video camera & I don't have the pic to post.

Sunday the FIL finally took me on my guided trip. First thing he boated was a carp jigging for walleyes. At first I thought the carp was going to be a musky for him not even trying for them, & I would get skunked on muskies with him as usual. However, this was to be my day, and the FIL put me on a 2 musky boated day. Heck, he even was nice enough to net the little one for me! Thanks for returning the favor!

Fishing was excellent with water temps 39-43 degrees for all the fishing. All but the big 48 and Bob's 44 came on boatside strikes, which was awesome to say the least. Same pattern still holding up with fishing slow and deep with big baits the ticket.

I'm no musky fisherman but it sure seems like you catch an awful lot of them. Nice fish....

Great looking fish. What river where you fishing?
