Bucher lures

What is your opinion of the Bucher baits like the Depthraider and Topraider?

Thanks

Re: Bucher lures

top raider is the fav of many however IMO there are many
top waters with similar action & the first top water u catch 1 on will end up beein a confidence lure & used often most esox fisherman stick with a few confidence lures & the rest of there box is just a collection

Re: Bucher lures

The depthraider is a highly versatile lure. You can straight crank them, rip and pause, twitch on the surface, rip into weeds, or troll them. I use the topraider every year but only for a few weeks or maybe a month when I feel it. Water temp and clarity decide what I use.

Re: Bucher lures

Depthraider(8"jointed) is one of my most productive lures...only caught 1 on a topraider but it is one of the most proven topwaters made

Re: Bucher lures

paul's lures are top notch. my buddy joel smashes the ski's on them.

You want me to put my ear to the ground? Listen for hoof beats? Look for broken twigs?

Re: Bucher lures

I use hammers extensively..we did great on them this past year including a 48.5 on a straight bluegill...joel is a first rate guy who will give you tips on how to fish certain areas and his info is always dead on
