Callen Run Fish Kill

This is old news for some, new news for some others. Back in first week of Oct. 2019 a bad storm and flood came thru and completely plugged up the intake shutting off the flow of water to the raceway resulting in the loss of 8,000 trout. Approximately only 200 trout survived. The storm started late in the afternoon and thru out the night. Now the club (heath twp. sportsman/co op nursery ) stock callen run & clear creek every friday except when the state stocks. That's five sometimes six extra stockings a year. The state has only one stocking scheduled for Callen run this year and three stockings for Clear Creek. So, a lot of fish people were used to fishing for during spring thru early summer will not be there this year. I will try to provide any news or updates on this matter for those interested. Thank You.

Quite a few people fish Callen Run. I remember that storm. There was a lot of damage and some flash flooding.
