I use a baseball pitch counter to record total numbers and I use my phone pictures with captions to preserve my "big fish" stats until I get home. Kudos to you on your diligent records!
Thanks very much TDM, I appreciate it.

There probably aren't too many that keep the level of detail in stats that I do. I started keeping stats in 1994 and my stats were pretty basic back then. They have gotten much more detailed over the years. I keep a notepad with me and write down the streams, water temperatures, type of trout caught, size of trout, type of lure that each fish hit, and regulations for the stream fished. I have a detailed spreadsheet that I enter the information from each outing into, which creates pivot tables and grids with the information you see in the summary. My spreadsheet has gotten to be huge and I think I will need to make some changes or overhaul it. It’s a good winter project when it’s too cold to fish.

Looks like a good year to me. Great write up. Definitely felt like I was there with you on some of those trips. I need to start taking advantage of the wild browns near me.

Thanks very much! Not sure what area you live in, but hopefully you can catch some of those wild browns in 2020.

I finally had a min (many minutes) to sit down and read this wonderful year end report. I don't like to rush or skim so I waited. Totally worth the wait and as usual you knocked it out of the park Andy. I'm really glad your life has settled in and your able to get out more. I look forward to all of your posts this upcoming season. Congrats on the fine year Andy.

I really like the photos of Tim Risser and his 18.75" wild brown trout. That is one beautiful trout and it actually looks bigger than 18.75". Good camera work.
After reviewing my notes, I need to correct the size of Tim’s trout mentioned. It was 19 3/4 inches instead of 18 3/4 inches.
