Fun in the Mob Scene?!

Who plans to be out on Saturday for the Regional Opener?

I will be out with my FIL, BIL and wife's uncle. We aren't sure where we plan to go, but it'll either be French Creek (Chester County), Stony Creek (Montgomery County), Kepner Creek or the Beaver Creek (Chester County).

Plan is to throw some spinners I got from FrankTroutAngler last year, maybe some trout magnets, and probably some bait too. Don't really intend to keep any, unless they're hooked too deep.

I helped stock the Stony and Kepner last week. I was actually impressed with the quality of the fish the State put in this year...in the one stocking, we must've dumped 15+ 20"+ fish. Most of them were over 12", with very very few under 12".

I don't live close enough, but I'll be out on our opener.

I will be fishing a stream in the north. I avoid both Opening Days.

25ftup, I've heard about the Wissy, but have never made it out there. I need to do that sometime.

I could care less WHERE I go, I just want to be out.

I can be at the Stony and skippack in 10 min. The Wissihickon blows them both away. Fish are spread out, no elbow to elbow anymore. And you can work that crick all day and catch fish that haven’t seen bait yet.

I like the sound of that. I just bought a house down the street from the Elmwood Park Zoo, near Corropolese.

I need to get to the Wissihickon, it sounds like.

If you're ever interested in meeting up, let me know! I'm newER to Trout fishing, but I've grown to love it more and more each year!

I fish the Quittapahilla Creek in Lebanon County on opening day. I saw 2 nice Golden Rainbows 20"+ stocked at my spot this year but I'll have plenty of competition. Probably will be a lot of people camped out overnight because Friday night's low temperature is expected to be quite mild for this time of year.

Haven't been out Opening Day since they started the early Regional Opening. Been working Saturday's at a CPA firm in tax season. I did enjoy it though fishing Muddy Creek here in York County. Always plenta fisherman but you still have tons of room to enjoy. Best of luck to all venturing out this Saturday!
