Asking For A Friend

A buddy of mine has recently moved to the Jim Thorpe area and enjoys trout fishing with the best of them but with having to move (and with the opener not far off) won't have much time to do any looking for places to fish and places that get stocked. Does anyone have any suggestions on some areas/streams to hit in Monroe County? Not looking for anyone's go to spots just a few suggestions as to where maybe he'll be able to catch a few trout with any luck.

If no one gives you any first hand experiences with streams up that way, you can log onto the fish commission website and in the stocking schedule, you can click on the longitude and latitude next to each stream listing and it will pop up a map of where those fish will be stocked. You could probably do it for him and then give him better land marks to go by.

Honestly it is for a friend...he recently lost his job of 30 years and is pretty distraught. I'm only trying to help him out. With where I live I don't know that'd I even be willing to drive the 45-50 mins to Jim Thorpe to go trout fishing.
