56 pound Brown Trout! 😉

Ok well maybe not...but here is my latest project. It’s my largest brown trout ever!
It is 30.5” and would be around 14-15 pounds in the wild...but it’s made out of rebar, welding wire and a chunk of oak! Comes in at a healthy 56 lbs...
It was pretty involved but fun to make! Happy New Year

Great work. Looks like a lot of time in that fish.

Excellent work ! We have an artist in Butler , Pa . that has done a lot of work in metal , but on a much LARGER scale . I can't imagine the time and patience it takes to create something like that .

That looks fantastic! You are a incredible artist!

Are you the same person who posted a "shed" made from rebar?

Good luck, Tony

Open Side?

Terphunter, that's awesome work. I got to ask why one side open showing the rebar? What was your reason for this depiction? Just curious to pick the brain of a talented artist, lol.

My first trout catch was a brown 21" long caught on my second cast. Never caught one that big since.
