Vandalism @ Pulaski

A friend of mine was steelhead fishing around Pulaski New York last week and went to some hotel to eat dinner and when he came out he noticed someone had ripped off his driverís side mirror off of his Tundra truck. He then went back inside the hotel to see if there were any video cameras and was told the locals ďdonít like out of staters.Ē No cameras.

He then explained its the out of staters that support the town and that he personally spent 3k for the past three weekends he went fishing with his family.

Joe,
It sucks that your friends vehicle was vandalized.
Ask your friend what hotel/restaurant he was at.
I am up there a couple times a year and I have never heard of so called "out of staters" being targeted.
I'd be curious as to what place he was at that would say such a thing.
I've probably stayed at every place there is and at one time or another ate at every place there is as well.
Not saying they were all good but I tried each one at least one time or another over the years.
Let the local police handle it... They'll get the video if there is one to be had and find those responsible.
The town isn't that big so I am sure they know who the trouble makers are....

joe8768, if true, I'd like to know who told him that. That town and area needs the visitors (out of town & out of state) to survive. I find it hard to believe a vendor of that town would make a statement like that.

Eight pt.

It was Almar hotel where his truck was vandalized. He did say that the food was very good there but will not go back.

Sorry I don't believe that for a minute. I have a place up there and eat and play at the Altmar each time I am there. All bartenders and especially the owners are stand up people. Not sure if they have outside cameras, but if they do I'm sure the footage would be readily available. Born and raised PA.

[QUOTE=ansleyhunter;3448201]Sorry I don't believe that for a minute.

Dude I personally seen his truck and I believe him. Again he also said there were no cameras.

I have a theory and I told him this. On his rear windshield he has a custom hunting decals and maybe some drunking slop from the bar is a PETA member.

Been in there many times for both lunch and dinner.
It stinks that your friend had that done though.
It only takes one bad moment to erase many trips of good times.....

As a side note, I typically do not park on their lot since it is always congested.
I'll either leave my car at the boat ramp lot or park in the small lot across the street from the fly shop.
