Salmon River Trip

I brought my son up to Pulaski for his 16th birthday present. he had been up earlier this year to bass fish and fish the lake.
This was his 1st time actually fishing the Salmon run and seeing some of the chaos that goes along with it.
It did not take him long to master the "technique" and he actually hooked up a few time the afternoon we got there.

We had many hook ups and managed to land a few fish.

Our friend Eric had some friends up for the weekend and we all had a blast fishing together.

Hi Beagler,
Yeah, we did use the boats this day to get down to our spot but we parked them and got out to fish.
Given the amount of people there the boats served as a good home base to keep coolers and gear in.
Spent a majority of the day just up river from Ellis Cove.

We were just upstream from you guys. At the top of that run. Man the fish just kept pouring out of there till dark. Had to be 1000 in that run.

The top left pic is just down stream of the bridge in Pulaski. We dumped in there the afternoon we got there and I got my son practicing the "technique".
The top right pic as well as the bottom right pics are the next day in the straight away just before the trestle.
The middle two pics and the bottom left pic are just above Ellis.

We left Ellis around 11:30 ish so we probably sailed right past ya if you were still there. Ton of people at Ellis and around the corner down stream. Danny had his work cut out for him navigating around them.
I saw a ton of fish holding up against the west bank there as we sailed past. Problem is, you can't get in there with a rod with the trees.

I didn't take any pics of fishing at the bridge in town on Saturday. We had a few hook ups and some nut job (local) calling us snaggers from the stone wall side each time either my son or I would hook up.
I would have told him the shut the F___ up if I had been with anyone other than my son as the nitwit was with some other locals so I had to bite my tongue. This moron had a high pitched voice and didn't stop talking the whole time we were there. He was shouting at anyone and everyone about anything.

Finished out of final day behind Stony's where I showed my son the spots where I first started salmon fishing many years ago.

We got to ellis cove not long before you guys took off. All those fish began moving big time around 2pm. Somtimes 20+ fish in a pod came by. We got several steelhead, cohos and an atlatic that evening. The next day guys killed them fishing the gravel bar you were fishing. In town wed was crazy good
